Our speaker Susanne Foitzik was selected by the Board of Trustees of the Werner and Inge Grüter Foundation as the winner of the Werner and Inge Grüter Prize 2021 in recognition of her diverse activities in the field of science mediation, especially her impressive book on ant research.
The Werner and Inge Grüter Prize for Science Mediation is awarded annually for outstanding work in the natural sciences, with preference given to biological evolution, paleontology, marine biology, botany, and cosmology, which aims to make scientific results known to a broader public beyond the boundaries of their respective disciplines.
