On Wednesday, 10 July 2024, Fiona and Joanna hosted our GenEvo seminar with Sir David Baulcombe from the University of Cambridge. David Baulcombe’s research focuses on gene regulation. He was involved in the discovery of small interfering RNAs and more recently has been working on epigenetically modified plants to improve crop plant breeding.
Our PIs took the opportunity to talk about their own research with David, while about 65 people came to IMB’s Seminar Room to listen to his talk in the afternoon.
