Another one of our GenEvo Principal Investigators, Prof. Dr. Shuqing Xu, has secured an ERC Consolidator Grant for his research on the evolution in ecological communities in response to climate change.
Dr. Xu's lab explores the molecular mechanisms and evolution of adaptive traits, focusing on plant and herbivore interactions. In this newly funded project, they will extend their research on the regulation and evolution of plant defensive metabolites into the context of a multitrophic community.
