The Ad Hoc Seminar by Hendrik Huthoff, Head of Education at the Jena School for Microbial Communication, on the topic of "Looking after your mental health in academia" was part of the jointly hosted seminar series on mental health and COVID impacts in research. Recently, more attention has been paid to mental health due to the known restrictions during the COVID-19 pandemic, not only affecting academics. Dr. Huthoff shared his experiences and health problems in his scientific career to explain how to support other academics.
